It's hard to believe it's been a year since my last blog! My time now is spent more on Facebook and with emails. Morning devotion time seems to stretch on a daily basis to late morning prayer time, then housework and laundry begin to scream my name for attention. I would change my name, but it's carved in the palm of my Savior's hand, so that wouldn't be wise. I like to know that I'm safe in His grasp...by name.
Next week is already looming larger and larger, almost insurmountable in my mind's eye. Eddie begins EMT school Tuesday while working full time at UAMS. We have so many hopes and fears all mingled together. Surrender is the only option. This is his baby, his chance to move forward in life. Michael will be wrapping up last minute good-byes as he prepares to return to Indiana...to his FIRST APARTMENT! How I wish I could go with him to help with the details and to stock it with all the necessary amenities. Maybe I wouldn't worry as much. Another opportunity for surrender. I have so enjoyed those sons this summer. It will be a season that, as a Mom, I'll review again and again just for fun. In addition to son activities, next weekend is Kevin's Sales Recognition Banquet in Dallas...a minor distraction to the heartache I'm fighting. If it hadn't been for MckMama's blog, I would be sinking, sinking, sinking. It's funny how God knows our needs before we voice them and how He provides oxygen in His Word and through others when we don't even realize we've been holding our breath! I'm breathing a little easier now that I'm looking for four-leaf clovers.
